Aloha!
Today I took a trip into Boots to pick up some last-minute bits & pieces before my holiday. Naturally I didn’t walk out with just the concealer & backcombing spray I had initially went in for!
First into my basket was the new ‘Beach Mate’ range from Aussie. They are one of my favourite brands & I couldn’t resist popping a shampoo & conditioner into my basket when I discovered the newest additions. They have been specially formulated to help dry, parched hair which has been in the sun & sea…holiday must haves!
This was one product I actually did intend to buy & technically it was free because the hair care was on 3 for 2. This is my second can of Vo5 Plump It Up Dry Backcombing Spray & I must say, I love it. It really does give my hair a boost & adds more volume to my long hair.
Next up is my latest favourite foundation. Max Factor’s Face Finity All Day Flawless Foundation. I have fallen in love with this foundation over the past couple of months, I have even replaced my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in favour of this! It is a lot cheaper that Double Wear at only £11.99 & last so much longer on my face. It doesn’t slip or slide & is perfect for my oily skin. The shades are incredibly light & this is the 3rd different shade I have purchased. My last shade was just a little too light for when I have a tan so I upgraded to shade ‘Golden’ which will suit my holiday skin tone better.
My next purchase was the Collection Lasting Gel Colour Polish in Clear. I am obsessed with Gel Nail Polish at the moment & yet I have so many non-gel polishes that are such pretty shades. This will be perfect for using as a top coat over my non-gel polishes to give me the same gel-shine & longevity to my polish that gel colours do. Model’s Own have launched a version but it is not available in Boot’s stores until July. I am desperate for Barry M to launch their own version – fingers crossed!
Another unintended purchase was from a brand that I have not heard of until today. The Yes To Grapefruit Uneven Skin Tone Daily Facial Scrub caught my eye because it was on offer. It had something like 33% off the original price of £6.00 & I am in need of a new facial wash so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately I do suffer from uneven skin tone, especially redness on my face which is very annoying. I can’t wait to try this product out & I will write a review once I am home from holiday.
My last purchase was the most expensive. My local Boot’s store only sell the small travel size Bumble & Bumble products & I have been desperate to try them out for so long. It cost me £18.00 for the Surf Set which contains a 50ml bottle of Shampoo, Conditioner & the wonderful Surf Spray. I am obsessed with Sea-Salt Sprays & currently use a Toni & Guy version but I am so excited to try out the Bumble and Bumble version. I will be writing a review about the set once I have used it & tested it fully!
Thanks for reading!
