Something Almost Forgotten

Dip Hem Dress; Boohoo, Cardigan; Mango
Belt; New Look, Peace Necklace; Topshop

Aloha! It is Thursday which means it is Friday tomorrow but I am guessing you knew that already! I was preparing to spend another day in the stock room at work this morning & I wanted something casual yet still stylish to wear. It is always more practical to wear jeans whilst working around in the stock room but I have never been a practical kinda girl! I had almost forgotten about this dip hem dress until I spotted it again in my wardrobe last week. I have never worn it, I think because it can be a little hard to style. It is quite an over-size fit & so I used a belt to pull it in at the waist.

I think the belt works really well with the dress & it will be a piece I will wear often. It was a total bargain from my last workplace for around £4.00! I can’t wait to start wearing it with bare legs & flip flops during the summer.

I love how much my sense of style & way of dressing has evolved over the past couple of years. I was forever wearing skinny jeans. Jeans, jeans, jeans, that is all I ever wore until I decided there was a lot more to my style that I needed to awaken. I made a vow to myself to mix up my style when I started this blog & that is exactly what I have done. I don’t wear jeans half as often as I use to & I love experimenting with my clothes.

I know what works & what doesn’t for me & I definitely have my own ‘look’ that I love. I finally feel like I have ‘found’ myself & I have built up a wonderful collection of pieces in my wardrobe that will last me a life time.

I am back in the stock room tomorrow (boo) but at least I am off for the weekend – woo hoo!

I hope you have all had an amazing day!

  1. Noticed your Marilyn Monroe background. I love it!! She is an awesome woman. I am probably in a jeans rut myself right now so I’ll vow to break out the skirts and dresses. Thanks for the inspriation.
