Before heading home from work this afternoon I decided to go into Waterstones which is one of my favourite book stores. They had an offer on books about Marilyn Monroe since this month is the 50th anniversary of her death. If you read this blog quite often you will know I am a huge fan of Marilyn. I have a lot of books about her already, including reading books & a lot that are mostly pictures.

I picked one simply called ‘Marilyn’ by Norman Mailer. It had £3.00 off the marked price so it was a really good buy. Another great book to add to my collection!

As I was leaving I took a look at the classic novel section where I found a book I have been wanting to read for a very long time. ‘Moby Dick’ by Herman Melville. I have wanted to read this book ever since I was a little girl & it was mentioned in my favourite movie ‘Matilda’. I knew now was the time to buy it & so I went back to the till. I have already read 40 pages this afternoon & I am already hooked! I can’t wait to go to bed & read a little more tonight!
