Playing with Colour

Stripe Sweater; H&M, Skinny Jeans; Topshop
Leather Jacket; Topshop, Braided Belt; H&M

This time last year I would not have picked these colours, and I would NOT have bought the green belt. The older I get the more I realise that fashion is about having fun and experimenting. You don’t always get it right (I am the first to admit that) but its about having fun and trying new styles. Lately I have loved trying out new colours and styles of clothes and discovering new things. I am better at judging what suits me and what doesn’t.

I turned up the hems of my jeans (they are just not skinny enough so I prefer to wear them this way) and I completed my look with my favourite studded flats from Topshop.

Have a nice day!

  1. Exactly – fashion IS about experimenting, having fun & expressing yourself in the outfits & style YOU love!! I’m so pleased you’ve decided to have more fun with fashion & try new things, that’s what I try to do every day & I have to say it makes me feel fab!!!

Love this outfit, I like the combination of colours, & the mixture of softer elements like the green belt & the striped sweater, with the more dramatic, cool leather jacket & studded smoking slippers (I have the same pair from Topshop & I adore them)! Works brilliantly together! xoxo

  2. Actually, I love my studded shoes so much, I’m considering buying the same pair in a nude tone with gold studs! Think they’re definitely worth investing in 🙂 xoxo

  3. Snap! Me too! I saw them when I popped into my local Topshop at the weekend and they are lovely! They also make a silver version but I don’t really like silver shoes! 🙂 xx
