First day Back At Work & New Buys

Aloha! Today was my first day back at work after 10 days off. Thankfully it wasn’t so bad & my shift seemed to pass quite quickly – which is always a good thing!

Necklace 024

I arrived home to find my Love Not war necklace from Love From Misbehave had arrived. Sorry the picture is slightly out of focus, I was probably too excited! It is so cute & was a really great price, plus I had a discount code.

Necklace 025

We had also had a new delivery of make-up at work which included this Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. When I arrived home I looked for some reviews on it – most were bad! Thankfully it was really cheap once my discount was applied so I haven’t wasted too much money if I don’t like it.

Necklace 021

I have some lovely daffodils in my room at the moment. Such happy flowers – they always make me smile!

I hope you have all had a nice day!

Love Not War

Last night I used the money I made from selling a top on eBay to buy this Love Not War Necklace from Love From Misbehave.

Love Not War

There are a number of reasons why I bought this lovely necklace.

1. It is in the shape of a peace sign
2. It has turquoise in it.
3. It has a cool name
4. It is a peace sign with turquoise in it & a super cool name all combined into one stunning necklace

Have I made my love for this necklace clear enough?…..I think so!

PS. It was super cheap too, only £4.00, plus I got 15% discount for entering code ‘LOANFTW’ at the checkout. I love a bargain!

Shopping With Mum

Aloha! Today I have been shopping again, this time with my Mum. I am really pleased that I actually managed to stick to a budget & not make impulse buys.

Here is my purchases from today;

Shopping Part II 004

My first purchase was this super cosy cornflower blue cardigan from Primark. The best part about this cute cardigan is that it was in the sale for only £5.00. I love the colour & it is perfect for wearing on chilly days.

Shopping Part II 001

On my way to the tills in Primark to pay for my cardigan I spotted some nail varnishes in the sale for £1.00 I picked up this one because it said Nail Blush, I thought it would be worth a try for only £1.00!

Shopping Part II 002

I also picked up this Elvive Smooth & Polish Conditioner. I have been wanting to try this particular one since it was launched. I love Elvive so I am sure this won’t disappoint.

Shopping Part II 003

My next purchase is the little crop top from Topshop that I featured as my Pick of the Day earlier. This lovely little top is ideal for layering underneath the lace top I bought in H&M yesterday. The best part is it only set me back £6.00!

Shopping Part II 005

My next stop was my old favourite, H&M!

Shopping Part II 007

This beautiful top is my favourite purchase today. I had a £7.99 store credit to use & this top was £7.99.. problem solved! I loved it as soon as I saw it, I love peace signs!

Shopping Part II 006

My final purchase was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation which I bought in Boots. The lovely Emma from Bliss With Beauty owns this foundation & recommends it & so I thought I would give it ago. I absolutely love Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation but at £22.00 a bottle it isn’t cheap. This was £8.99 & I had enough points on my Advantage card so I got it for free! I can’t wait to try it out & I intend to swap between this & my Clarins foundation.

Shopping on a budget is becoming so easy for me these day!

I hope you have all had a wonderful day!

Weekend Buys

Aloha! It is Monday once again which sadly means the weekend is over. Here are a few purchases I made over the weekend, including my cute cardigan from the Vintage Fair!

Vintage Darling 002

I bought this large Arrowhead Pendant Necklace on Saturday. I plan to replace the chain with thread just like I did with my wooden cross necklace. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Pics from the weekend 002

Next is a book that Chris bought for me from HMV. ‘The Last American Man’ by Elizabeth Gilbert. I loved the title & the front cover & the story seems so interesting. Let me know if you have read it, I would love to know your thoughts.

Pics from the weekend 003

Last but not least is this gorgeous cardigan I picked up at the Vintage Fair yesterday.

I love the delicate nature of the fabric. I plan to wear it as a cover up over maxi dresses & skirts. So cute!

The Wedges That Almost Got Away

Last Summer whilst browsing in Next with my Mum I spotted some beautiful wedges that I wanted so much. I had just bought a lot of shoes & I was trying to save my money so I didn’t purchase them. They were £36.00. Then, I changed my mind & went back to buy them, to my dismay they had sold out & I couldn’t find them anywhere!

I searched eBay & had no luck. A month later I went on holiday to Egypt, whilst there we made friends with a nice couple. One evening the lady came to dinner wearing the wedges I so longed for. I was reminded of how amazing they were & as soon as the plane landed back on British soil my eBay search continued. I had no luck until one day I found them.

Wedges 2

I snapped them up for a bargain price & couldn’t wait to start wearing them. When they arrived I realised they were alot higher than the original ones I spotted in Next. As it turns out they made the shoes in 2 different heights. One was a high wedge like the one I bought & the other, which I found in store was a low almost Flatform style wedge.

I still loved the wedges despite my mistake & I loved wearing them. However, I still longed for the flatform version as an every day pair that I could easily run errands in without them being too high for every day use. I knew I would get so much wear out of the flatform pair as I have so many outfits they would look awesome with.

So, my eBay search continued. Every time I found a pair, they were not my size or the picture of misleading & they were the high ones again.

Until tonight! I won a pair of flatform style ones on eBay for another bargain price.

Wedges

Finally, my search is over! I can’t wait to start wearing these beauties all Summer long, plus I will get plenty of wear out of the higher ones. I managed to buy both pairs for less than the full price of one pair in Next. I am a lucky lady!
